This page will entail specific information regarding my phalloplasty journey (Lots of photos BUT this time there is no accommodation or trip as I live 15 mins from Crane!) just as was photographed for my metoidioplasy. The added bonus of this second will also include video (three-part documentary) and if possible video of the actual procedure being done. As well I will be interviewing Dr. Crane about the procedure!
I have chosen to go with Dr. Curtis Crane as my surgeon! Super stoked! I desire the most with phalloplasty so after years of fighting, with myself of course lol, I have leveled off at the Pedicle Anterolateral Thigh Flap (ALT or ALTF) phalloplasty and happy with my choice.
Thanks to CA state mandates and Kaiser Permanate of NoCAL I will be insured once again for this medically necessary procedure! The time lines section will be updated as I go with information as I did with every other surgery.

I had phalloplasty surgery with Dr. Crane on February 3, 2014. I also had testicular and penile implant surgery on April 30, 2015. Both him and his staff provided exceptional care. Dr. Crane is incredible. The best advice I can give to people who are about to receive this surgery is don’t doubt. With post op, there might be mild complications or many concerns you may start to feel. But don’t. Dr. Crane will solve everything. Be confident. I had doubts post op during the healing process, Dr. Crane kept reassuring me that it gets better. And it does. I’m happy as hell with my results. This is a very skilled surgeon and caring person. The nurses were also phenomenal. Always caring and understanding of my needs with quick responses. They are always right there for you to make you as comfortable as possible.
I’m glad that you had a wonderful experience. Since knowing Crane it has always been a pleasure and it will be a continued pleasure working with him in the future. I’m over the moon about my results I could not have asked for a better surgeon or human being to care for me at this most delicate time in my life. My next stage is on July I can’t wait!
