thanks man, my insurance has an open transgender policy like all insurances need to get in the habit of doing. I had to have 2 letters instead of just one but thats no issue just a piece of paper with words. even if theres no open policy you can still get things covered depending on the wording as well as the medical necessity of it as well. Say chronic pelvic/abdominal pain or family history of cervical/ovarian cancer are grounds for a preventative surgery.
I been doing alot of research on metoidioplasty and it seems the best way to go but on some of the sites I checked out the resulting size of the penis is not big enough for intercourse and thats mainly the reason for me wanting the surgery I was just wondering if not to personal how is your ending results in size
Size is based on your own body, looking at someone elses results are the wrong way to do it. I was able to have intercourse well before surgery, surgery just makes it easier. See how you grow from T mixed with your own genetics then base your surgery off of that and nothing else. people make the largest mistakes by thinking the results of someone else will be what they have
did your insurance cover this procedure and if so how because i would think that if you are a man getting this procedure that they would deny it plz let me know asap thank you
Yes they did, they exclusively covered trans surgery
Can I ask who your insurance carrier is/was? I would love to find an option where all the money doesn’t come out of my pocket.
I had medicaid with a managed care plan while i was in the city of New York. Since then, they no longer provide funding for SRS due to unruly men who ruined it for everyone. If you have insurance through an employor your chances for surgery funding increase.
